The annual Mineral Wealth Conference (MWC) is organized by the Uganda Chamber of Mines and Petroleum (UCMP) in partnership with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD). The conference plays a critical role in creating opportunities for Uganda’s domestic and international mining interests since it brings together key policy and decision-makers, business leaders, bankers, academia and mining investors from all over the world. It offers a platform for presentations, interactive panel discussions, business matchmaking, networking and exhibition of products and services. The 2020 Mineral Wealth Conference is scheduled for 14th and 14th of October 2020 Online and on TV

The theme of the conference is: “Creating an enabling environment for Mining in Uganda”

About UCMP (The Organizer)

The Uganda Chamber of Mines and Petroleum (UCMP) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that represents the interests of private players in the mining and petroleum sectors in Uganda by collaborating with the state to develop the country’s extractive sector. Launched in 2010, UCMP coordinates and facilitates information and administrative support to prospective and current investors in the mining and exploration sectors in Uganda. It also promotes, encourages, protects and fosters responsible exploration and service delivery in these sectors.
